DocsWhat you can doBring your files

For agents

Bring your files. Ask across all of them.

Spreadsheets, CSV and Parquet exports become tables you can question together. Your agent converts, links and checks them.

I run a small online shop. My customers are in ~/Documents/tienda/clientes.xlsx and every month I export the orders as Parquet into ~/Documents/tienda/pedidos/. Bring all of it into LakehouseBox so I can ask questions across both. Follow lakehousebox.com/docs/

I've looked at your files: 12 customers in the spreadsheet and 652 orders across 9 monthly files (January to September 2026).

One thing I need from you: connect this computer to your account (open the link, tick write, approve). Then I'll load both into one catalog. They link on the customer ID, so you'll be able to ask questions across them.

Approve your agent's access

Open the link your agent gives you, check the code, tick Write and approve. Your files stay on your computer until your agent loads them; the originals are never changed.

It converts files that need it, loads every month as one table, and tests a question across both.

Your customers and orders are both in LakehouseBox, and I checked that a question across the two gives correct answers.

  • Customers: 12, with clean column names; your "sí" became true.
  • Orders: all 9 monthly files as one table, 652 orders. Every order matches a customer.
  • The spreadsheet was converted first: LakehouseBox's import doesn't take Excel files, so I turned it into Parquet. Your originals are untouched.
  • I added a short note to the catalog describing the two tables, so any agent you connect later understands them.

Every month after

Your files keep changing; the tables don't update themselves.

Ask your agent to add next month's export when it lands ("add October's orders"), or to reload the spreadsheet when you change it. Each load is one new version of the table, and earlier versions stay readable for a while.

Which files work

CSV and Parquet load directly (one file, or many files into one table). Spreadsheets (.xlsx) and other formats are converted by your agent first. Dates become real dates and numbers real numbers; your agent checks totals against the original. Files that are not tables, like photos, PDFs or archives, can be kept next to the tables in the catalog's file storage.
